The Classic is the 1st Plane in the game, and the only one accessible until the player unlocks his first of the other eight Planes. Its Wingman Cube is colored in its signature red shade.
Abilities[]
The Classic, being the starting Plane to the game, offers no special abilities and carries the default levels of gunfire, strength, health, resistance, and most other aspects as compared to the successive eight Planes.
However, it undergoes a major overhaul by the Sky Force Research & Development Team as soon as the final Permanent Card (24) is acquired, and it rolls out with a new super powerful "Laser Whip" in replacement of its original Main Cannon. The Laser Whip can be seen as the most destructive regular weapon ever fitted onto a Sky Force Plane in spite of being quite narrow, whittling down enemies, Boss armaments, and defense systems and even tearing through long enemy chains in a flash. Following the upgrade, The Classic becomes one of the Planes that deals the most destructive firepower of all, alongside the homing rocket flying tank Octopus (on PC/Console version) and Gladius.
In the mobile versions of the game, the Support Drones of the same Plane also get refurbished alongside the retrofitting of the Laser Whip, gaining a mega boost in their firepower, acting as an even greater defense system that can reach enemies in far corners of the screen. In the PC versions, the Drones get their superb firepower in a separate Card instead. As a result, The Classic plays an important role with its massive weapon overhaul and refurbishment, easing all aspects of Medal-seeking runs for a Stage.
