Stages are levels that make up the gameplay of Sky Force Reloaded.
Description[]
Sky Force Reloaded features a total of 16 Stages, including the main sequence of 13 Stages and 3 Bonus Stages. A special weekend Tournament Stage is also available as a multiplayer feature.
In each Stage, different types of enemies are to be taken on and Stars, a currency required to upgrade your Plane can be collected. Survivors are found in battles as well, whose rescues are a requirement for medals that reward 1000 points each. On rare occasions, a VIP Survivor may appear, who rewards vast sums of score and Stars when rescued. Besides Stars, Bonus Cards and Aircraft Parts can also be obtained respectively for enhancing the aesthetics of the gameplay and unlocking new Planes. Their drop rates increase progressively throughout the game; in other words they appear more often in later Stages and higher Difficulty levels.
Each stage has 4 Difficulty levels which are Normal, Hard, Insane and Nightmare. As the hardest Difficulty, Nightmare is special for only being available after Stage 13 is cleared. They can be acquired on each Difficulty and are reset every time the next tier is unlocked. Collecting medals and unlocking higher difficulties increase the score multiplier, which affects the Final Score after playing a Stage. The names of the Medals are shown below.
- Destroy 70% of Enemy Forces/Collect 70% of Stars (Stage 5)
- Destroy 100% of Enemy Forces/Collect 100% of Stars (Stage 5)
- Rescue All People
- Stay Untouched
Most Stages feature colossal Bosses at the end, though a few Stages have none or semi-powerful Mini-bosses instead.

Mystery Dispensers[]
In every stage and towards the end, is a blank Dispenser that looks similar to the Power-up Dispensers. Its only one purpose is to receive a green cargo crate, though this opportunity is not frequent. Normally, the Dispenser stays inactive (even unaffected by Hayes Core Technician). If a crate is available, the number of the Stage in the Main Menu will be replaced with a hexagon divided into three parallelograms to resemble a cube.
When it does, this crate first shows up in the Stage Select screen, which replaces the stage number with the silhouette of a cube. When playing this stage, the green crate will descend from the top of the screen after about ten seconds in. The goal is to deliver the crate to the dispenser situated near the end of the stage. To control this crate, flying close to it will magnetize the crate, allowing it to follow your movements, though at a slow pace. Shooting at it with the Main and Wing Cannons will cause the projectiles to be absorbed and propel the crate upwards, though it is unaffected by your missiles and enemy gunfire.
Once delivered, the crate changes into a Bonus Card (Can be either Permanent or Temporal). If you already have all the permanent cards, you will still get temporal cards instead. The crate does not disappear if the player fails the Stage, allowing for multiple retries unless the Plane is destroyed while carrying the dropped Bonus Card.
Trivia[]
- Most Stages and their difficulties have unique one-time quotes that drive the story forward.
- After finishing the stages along with the boss of that level, a small marker/drawing will appear near the stage icon. These drawings resemble the enemies you've encounter or the Bosses you've fought. This affects both PC and Mobile users.
- Except during Boss fights, Stages use four soundtracks. The same track is used every four Stages (for instance, track 1 is used by Stages 1, 5, 9, 13).
- There are only 11 stages that was ruled by propaganda of Scarlett Mantis (from Stage 1 - 11). The rest of all the stage was under the mysterious [OMEGA].
- An EMP submarine was spotted at Stage 9 before fighting the Boss.
- The credit is played along with one of the soundtracks from the classic Sky Force Reloaded (2006) after Stage 13 is cleared.
- At Stage 5 you will find all the wreckage of the old Mantis Flying Fortress, Mantis Heavy Gunship and The Arachnotron, all of whom are Bosses of the prequel game - Sky Force 2014.
