Triebflügel Planes are small well-armored Prop Planes-like enemies that travel in fleets, dealing damage to the player's Plane via direct contact.
Appearance[]
Triebflügel Planes are small aircrafts with a unique and unusual appearance: a fuselage connected to three turbines via thin wings, bearing a similar design to the real-life Focke-Wulf Triebflügel aircraft concept. There is a small tailplane at the end of the aircraft. When in flight, the turbines rotate slowly around the fuselage and similar to the Jet Fighters, three blue exhaust trails are emitted by the turbines along with wingtip vortices (despite the wings not having tips).
Behavior[]
Triebflügel Planes function identically as Prop Planes and normal Drones: they travel in fleets in specific trajectories along with others of the same type.
Triebflügel Planes have health and explode when it runs out, dropping stars and reward some points. Their health can be reduced either by damaging the planes with weapons or by colliding with the player. If the latter is the case, both sides will take damage until either of them is destroyed, or if they pass through each other completely. The damage is reduced for both sides if they make contact on the wings instead of the fuselages. Triebflügel Planes' potential damage is reduced along with their health, therefore lightly damaged planes may deal less damage when crashing into the player. These aircrafts often survive the collisions thanks to their noticeably higher health compared to other Prop Plane enemies.
Players can use Energy Shields to protect themselves from the aircrafts and can even safely mow through fleets, as Triebflügel Planes are always destroyed instantly when they make contact with the shield, regardless of their health.
A few Triebflügel Planes may occasionally have a yellow glow; these planes will drop Weapon Upgrades items that increase your weapons' fire rate. Glowing planes will not spawn if the fire rate is maxed out.
Strategy[]
Most strategy against Prop Planes can be re-used against these Triebflügel Planes and are written in more details at Enemies/Prop_Planes#Strategy. They include:
- Keeping distance is crucial in avoiding damage.
- They have the highest HP of all Prop Plane type enemies, rivaling Large Volatile Drones.
- Memorizing their appear patterns and beware of sudden ambushes while distracted.
- Utilize many features that can help against the Triebflügel Planes' high hit points, such as the penetrating Laser Whip of The Classic Plane, Gladius's high firepower, Octopus's mini-rockets, well-timed Wing Cannons projectiles and the Tase MeBro Technician for catching escaping planes.
Trivia[]
- Unlike Prop Planes, these Triebflügel Planes do not have a chance to turn into a burning wreckage and spiral to the ground; they always explode in mid-air when destroyed.
- Triebflügel Planes are perhaps the rarest to be encountered out of all Prop Plane enemy variants as they can only be seen in Stage B3, the last stage that most players have yet to unlock. In addition, Triebflügel Planes are only seen flying in straight trajectories in these few encounters.

(work in progress)
- ↑ In this scenario, the Triebflügel Plane will move straight downwards while the player's Plane is uncontrolled. Both aircrafts will be aligned right in front of each other, and Triebflügel Plane may pass through the player without being destroyed, losing some of their potential total damage.
