Energy Blaster Turrets are basic tower enemies which fires streams of three slow projectiles in diagonal direction, without targeting the player's Plane.
Appearance[]
An Energy Blaster Turret appears mounted on top of a metal tower in a shape of a square with rounded corners, with four base supports on each side of the body.
The Turret's armament sits atop the tower, featuring a cylindrical barrel with an orange component inside, which protrudes slightly at the front and likely serving as the projectiles' discharge point. A metal strip on each side of the barrel secures it to the base. This design is similar to a type I Laser Turret.
Behavior[]
General[]
Energy Blaster Turrets are mounted to their tower and thus are stationary. As a tower enemy, they also have noticeably more health compared to some other enemies and a red health bar appears above the armament when damage is dealt to it, fading after a few moments of being left intact.
Energy Blaster Turrets cannot be collided with; the Plane simply flies past them.
Energy Blaster Turrets rarely drop Health Restore items upon destruction.
Armament[]
Energy Blaster Turrets have a basic armament that does not track the player's Plane but shoot at 45 degrees angle instead. It fires three subsequent projectiles and reloads consistently between each volley. The projectiles are slow, travel in straight lines, each deals low damage on contact and appears as a white circle with outline that alternates between purple and pink.
As the Turrets never aim at any specific target, the Holo Granny Technician and its decoys cannot distract them.
These projectiles are designed to only damage the Plane while harmlessly phasing through other enemies. However, they can be absorbed by Energy Shields, annihilated by Mega Bombs and Iron Clad's Main Weapon Supercharge shockwaves, and slowed by Slo Mo Chan's ability.
Strategy[]
- Avoid their projectiles simply by navigating the Plane through the spaces between the streams. Keep track of the other streams as well since Energy Blaster Turrets always appear in multiple.
- Being relatively tame and basic enemies (not even shooting straight down to prevent the player from damaging them), Energy Blaster Turrets can be ignored until the player deals with other more dangerous defenses and Prop Planes, rescuing survivors or charging from dispensers, then finally finishing them off with no worry.
